The Very High Energy Group for Astrophysics (VHEGA, https://vhega.iaa.es/) invites outstanding researchers to apply for one postdoctoral position. We offer a contract associated to a project that will run until the end of 2028 with a gross salary of ~56 k€/year. Eligible candidates should hold a PhD degree in Physics, Astrophysics or any related subject at the beginning of the contract.
We search for candidates with the following profile: a Postdoctoral researcher with experience on imaging atmospheric Cherenkov data reconstruction or reconstruction of high energy experiment data, with special focus on the application of novel image analysis techniques such as Convolutional Neural Networks.

The VHEGA group is specialized on the study of AGNs and galactic compact objects and their environments at all spectral ranges from gamma rays to radio wavelengths as well as in software development for astronomical data analysis. Its members belong to the MAGIC collaboration and are involved in the commissioning of the Large-Sized Telescopes (LSTs) of CTAO-North.
